Seikyushu Kyokai The origin of Saint Savior Church dates back to 1887, when Rev. James Williams of CMS, British missionary group, started to preach the gospel at then Tomioka Monzen Nakacho. From the beginning, missionary works were
remarkable in educational and medical contributions for children suffering from poverty, by focusing on local community service.

We are in the tradition of such social works, and established "Labor Youth Center" in 1968, for those who were working at Kiba Lumberyard, which was later expanded as "Makoto Community Center". As of today, Fukagawa Love Garden Nursing Home, Makoto Nursery School, Kid School
Kindergarten, Right After School Pupils Gathering and many other activities have been developed stemming from church.

In this way, our prayers and works have always been for others in local communities. Saint Savior Church will continue to serve the God and neighbors by listening to their voices.

The parish itself is small, and congregation on Sundays is more or less twenty, but our fellowship is warm and at home. Please join us to worship the Lord.

--- Rev. John Yuji Kanzaki, Minister
